According to the American Psychological Association, job stress in particular can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Taking Cigna’s online Health Assessment is a great first step to getting a picture of your overall health. But, if you’re experiencing chronic stress, be sure to take advantage of Greyhound’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
This program, provided by MHN, offers confidential access to counselors and other resources through a 24/7 telephone line and the EAP website. The EAP provides support for mental health and work/life balance issues – which are often major stress factors. Specific services include:
- Marriage, family and relationship issues
- Alcohol and drug dependency
- Other emotional health issues
- Grief and loss
- Financial services
- Legal services
- Identity theft
- Childcare assistance
