Healthy Hound offers six different Healthy Activities that focus on better managing a chronic condition, losing weight, quitting tobacco, and adopting a healthier lifestyle.

Who’s eligible?
ATU members and their spouses enrolled in the ATU Preferred Plan or Value Medical Plan must each complete two of the Healthy Activities described on this website by September 30, 2025. Participation in all Healthy Activities is completely confidential, voluntary, and at no cost to you. The Trustees, the Union, and the Company will not have any knowledge of any information related to your health condition or discussions you may have with any health advisors in the Healthy Hound program.
What are the rules of the Healthy Hound program?
If you and your enrolled spouse do not each complete two Healthy Activities by September 30, 2025, an annual surcharge of $300 per individual will be applied to your medical plan premiums, beginning with the first paycheck in January 2026. The surcharge will be spread out over every paycheck, but will add up to $300 per individual for the year.
How the Sweepstakes Drawing Works
The Board of Trustees is extending the Healthy Hound Sweepstakes Drawing for 2025. Here’s how it works.
Who’s eligible for the sweepstakes drawing?
All Greyhound ATU members who complete two Healthy Activities between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025 will be automatically entered into a Sweepstakes Drawing for one of several prizes:
- A $500 Grand Prize gift card, or
- A $100 gift card. (The Healthy Hound program is giving away 10 of these).
Completion of two of the six Healthy Activities would qualify a member to be eligible to be entered into the drawing.
Sweepstakes Drawing Rules
Gift cards are considered taxable income and will be reported to the IRS and shown on the employee’s W-2.
Only Greyhound ATU members employed by Greyhound and covered under the medical plan on the date of the drawing are eligible to win.
While spouses must complete two Healthy Activities to avoid an annual surcharge of $300, spouses are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes Drawing.
Selection of Winners
A grand prize winner and 10 second place winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible members who complete two Healthy Activities by September 30, 2025. Entrants are comprised of only those employees who successfully completed two Healthy Activities from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
The drawing will be conducted in December at a third-party location separate from the Fund Office.
Winner(s) will be notified by the Fund Office and will receive their prize by mail. Prizes will be mailed in December.
Chances of Winning
Chances of winning depend upon the number of employees who complete two Healthy Activities from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
